Free Hugs

Hugs are special. Hugs make you feel like you’re important. Hugs make you happy. Hugs are heavenly. Especially if that hug was from someone special. :”)

My friends dared me to do this free hugs thing during break time.

And I have nothing to do but to follow and act like a total idiot carrying this huge free hugs sign worn like an ID.

People came to me and hugged me. Teachers. Friends. Batchmates. Even little kids.

But there was one person's hug I wished for almost all my life.

It was Travis Connor's.

The school's awesomeness in flesh. He's the football team captain. The batch's topnotcher in almost all examinations. And my ultimate crush. :')

And in the end, I admit it. It was quite fun. It was something out of the ordinary.

But before break time ended, someone tapped me on the shoulder and asked,"Can I get one of those free hugs?"

That voice. I would've recognized that voice anywhere.

My jaw hit the ground when I saw who it was. :O

But before I could even respond, he pulled me in for a hug.

In those few seconds when he held me close to him, I finally realized what it feels like when people say "My whole world froze and time stood still."

When he finally pulled away, he had this really cute grin on his face. I couldn't help but smile in return.

"I'll see you around, Elisse," he said with a wave and turned around to the labs.

My heart was beating so fast and so loud, I was afraid people around me would hear it. ❤❤❤
