Seven Days: Day 3
A ForWood Fic
Someone said nudged me softly, making me seep into consciousness. I thought it was my mom when that person suddenly spoke, "Hey, Care? Your mom let me in. You overslept. It's already almost half past eight," I woke with a start when I realized who it was.
Tyler Lockwood. Inside my room.
"What are you doing here?" I asked immediately.
"I wanted to wake you up. Hey, get up now. I'll wait down stairs while you get ready for class. Okay?" I nodded and shoved him out of my room.

I got out of my room after 10 minutes of rush bathing, dressing and packing of stuff for today's class. But before going down, I drank a whole pack of blood; I couldn't just drink that in front of a human. They would probably freak.
Locking my room, I noticed a piece of rose on the floor. As usual, well, since our deal, I picked it up and read the note it came with:
I keep dreaming, you'll be with me and you'll never go.
Love,TDL
I admit, I found all of these things cheesy. But I will also admit, I found it cute. And sweet. Yes, definitely sweet.
I placed those on my table, the notes safely tucked away in a little box whereas the roses were placed on a slim, lavender vase.

He drove us both to school in no time. We had arrived five minutes before the bell would ring.
I bid him goodbye after getting out of his car and rushed to the school doors but he caught my arm.
"Care, is there something wrong? Was it something I did or something I said?" He asked me worriedly.
"No, no. There's nothing wrong, okay? I just don't want to be late," I said all too quickly.
"I don't buy that, Care. I know you too well and I can see it when you're not telling the truth. Now, can you please tell me?"
I sighed and said, "Ty, I'm just confused. Confused about my feelings. I don't know how to phrase this but I still don't know how I feel."
The bell suddenly rang and I found myself leaving Tyler and rushing to my first class.

School, mas usual, ended to quickly. I only had my last class, which was Music, and then I was free to go. Unfortunately, this was the class I shared with Tyler.
I came in late so I was forced to seat in the only vacant chair down the front. Beside Tyler.
"Hey," he said timidly. And I just nodded.
Mr. Cornwell, our music teacher told us that our activity for today was to perform a song that talks about how we feel. It could be about anything just as long as we don't insult another student. And it would be graded so everybody would have to participate.
"Who wants to go first?" Mr. Cornwell asked excitedly. When nobody raised their hands, I volunteered. Just to get this over with.
I sang the first song that popped into my mind. And when I reached the final chorus part, I found myself being able to relate to it. Then I realized, while I was singing the final part, I was looking at Tyler:
The smile on your facelet's me know that you need meThere's a truth in your eyessaying you'll never leave meThe touch of your handsays you'll catch me if ever I fallYou say it bestWhen you say nothing at all
I finished and everybody in the room clapped. I was just shocked that one girl in my class was teary eyed. Fortunately, no one saw I was looking at Tyler. I smiled and took my seat. That's when everybody started volunteering, one by one. Until only a student was left to sing.
"Mr. Lockwood, it's your turn," He stood up nervously and got a guitar.
"Hey guys. Well, this song's something that I've been working on over the past few nights. It's not quite finished but it sums up everything that I feel. Caroline, this one's for you," Tyler said and started playing. When he blurted out that it was for me, I couldn't help but blush. All eyes on the room were staring at the both of us.
There are so many things
That I never ever got to say
'Cause I'm always tongue tied
With my words getting in the way
If you could read my mind,
Then all your doubts would be left behind
And every little thing
Would be falling into place
I would scream to the world
They would see you're my girl
But I just
Keep getting stuck, stuck
But I'm never giving up, up
In the middle of a perfect day
I'm tripping over words to say
'Cause I don't wanna keep you guessing
But I always end up getting stuck, stuck
But I'm never giving up, up
It's the way that I feel
When you say what you say to me
It keeps you running through my mind
24/7 days a week
And if you've got the time
Just stick around and you'll realize
That it's worth every minute that it takes
Just wait and see
I would scream to the world
they would see you're my girl
But I just
Keep getting stuck, stuck
But I'm never giving up, up
In the middle of a perfect day
I'm tripping over words to say
'Cause I don't wanna keep you guessing
But I always end up getting stuck, stuck
But I'm never giving up, up
I'm over the chances wasted
Tell me it's not too late
It's only the nervous times
That keep me bottled up inside
Keep getting stuck, stuck
But I'm never giving up, up
In the middle of a perfect day
I'm tripping over words to say
'Cause I don't wanna keep you guessing
But I always end up getting stuck, stuck
But I'm never giving up, up
He finished and I swear, he was blushing.
"I love you, Caroline Forbes." Tyler said shyly. To which he earned an applause, something he obviously deserved. Every single person in the room teased him for being such a mushball. But he never paid attention to them, he was just looking at me as if waiting for my reaction. I smiled at him and mouthed a thank you. He grinned, nodded and took his seat beside me. He reached for my hand and gave it a little squeeze.
With everything that he's been doing, I found myself being more drawn to Tyler Lockwood.
